The New
Constitution Park
We are thrilled to announce that the development and restoration of Constitution Park is now complete and that the park is now open to the public.
This central community green space located next to the Village Hall and a neighbor to the Library, several houses of worship, FASNY, and our Boston Post Road Commercial area previously had untapped potential. The new Constitution park will serve as a community hub for gatherings, events, and play, as well as a quiet spot to read, rest and reflect. The new revitalized park now features:
- A fully accessible promenade running the length of the park
- A commons area for concerts and special events
- A children’s grove with a natural looking playground
- A sculpture garden
- Benched seating throughout the park
- A terraced gazebo on a masonry pedestal that will serve as a common area for public concerts and performances
An important tenet of the improvement of this natural space is the positive interaction we expect it to have with the local business district giving those who wish to dine or shop in our community a place to rest or linger a bit longer.
When we are able to resume public gatherings, we are already imagining a host of events to draw our community together in this public space including summer concerts, family-friendly events as well as our favorites like the annual art show, holiday lights, and Ragamuffin parade reception.

“We hear the excitement in people’s voices when they talk about the park and its transformation. We look forward to seeing this central greenspace, which was once underutilized, draw people in after worship, school or a visit to the library. And when we can all gather again, the park will once again host the summer concert lineup, the popular Larchmont Arts Festival and more.”

Support Friends of Larchmont Parks
Friends of Larchmont Parks is thrilled to see Constitution Park continue to thrive and to serve as a special gathering place for so many community-building events throughout the year. We hope you have enjoyed the freshly installed landscaping package of native perennials bloom across the seasons around the gazebo and across the park. And we were so proud to partner with the Village on the planting of over 15 native and large growth trees installed in Constitution this fall to replenish those that have been lost over the years.
You have seen Constitution Park emerge as a beautiful gathering space for our community, and we hope you will consider donating to our annual fund to support FOLP’s future planning with other Larchmont parks. With your generosity we will be able to continue to do great things to better parks in our community. It is with your help that we hope to improve all parks in Larchmont!
